Savannah-The Walters Family dog

I miss my sweet pomeranian, Savannah. She is very, very old and is not doing so well. I figured I would pay a tribute to one of the best dogs in the world! She is the most gentle, loving, smart, sweet and fluffy dogs I have ever been around. She lives with Mom and Dad in Pensacola... She has to take at least a dozen pills a day and had to change her hard food to soft food because she hardly has any teeth left! I pray that she is not in any pain. She wobbles around the house and follows you wherever you go. A true companion. I don't know what I will do she she is on her last leg! Please keep her in your prayers!

Gadgets...

Obviously...The ipad. I would take this or a mac pro.

The Kindle. I think that if I had one of these I would read more...first I will get one for my mother for Christmas and maybe try it out to see if I would actually use it.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love taking pictures. Unfortunately I have a pretty crappy camera...compared to the new ones that are available now. I would like the Canon Rebel T1I.

Frye Carson Pull On Boots

I MUST have these soon. Planning on ordering them asap...I am obsessed. Saw them on a friend and knew I had to have them!! As Kelly said, they are the perfect balance between cowboy and dressy.

Ghost Chair

I have been wanting to revamp my furniture at my condo and completely redecorate! I am looking for a Chandelier and a GHOST CHAIR! I want to find a simple vanity (maybe at a thrift store or estate sale) sand it, paint it, etc. and add the ghost chair! I also need new wall art and or sconces. Any ideas or findings would be appreciated!!

Mr. and Mrs. William Foreman Miller!!!

Words cannot even describe the amazing weekend I had. Lacey and Will are definitely one of a kind. They were meant to be together. End of story!! I balled my eyes out at the rehearsal dinner. Will even started to cry as he was talking about Lacey during his speech. I just love the Miller and Johnson family to death!! I do have to say how proud I was of Ethan. His speech was so sweet and thoughtful. The rest of the bridesmaids made fabulous toasts to the beautiful bride to be and then we all went to 206 for cocktails after the dinner. Saturday Lacey had her wedding party brunch. I LOVE breakfast foods...needless to say I didn't eat again that day until the Reception. The ceremony was perfect...Will dipped lacey and kissed her and her veil fell off. I expected Will to pull something like that...but it was precious. The reception was a blast. Band was amazing and everyone had so much fun!! Only one issue...the asshole limo driver trotted into the reception and told lacey "If you don't come on right now, I am leaving you both" ...so they frantically raced to gather their things, say their goodbyes and walk through the red and white and black and gold pom poms and off to the limo...only to find Sarah Duncan and Cole Pierce hiding inside the Limo to "surprise" them...THEN the limo driver aka bastard from hell told them they couldn't go by lacey's parents house to get her bags...while he was explaining this to her, she got a voicemail from their hotel in new orleans saying they overbooked but were putting them in a sister hotel in Metarie! (The plan was for them to stay in Nola that night and limo driver was taking them there) Guess what???... Cab driver said " No, I will not take you to Metarie. It's New Orleans or nothing" ...so to make this loonnnggg story a little bit short...lacey's Dad and Will had to have a few choice words with Mr. Cab Driver. Needless to say, he didn't get paid and Lacey and Will had to spend their wedding night at Lacey's parents house. So. Thank you Mr. Asshole cab driver for making the bride cry her eyes out the night of her wedding. Clearly he wasn't aware of what his job consists of. Surely he will be fired. Sunday, Lacey and Will jumped in the car with some others going to the Saints game and made it to the start of their honeymoon. They left Monday morning for the Dominican Republic!! Congrats to my favorite couple. I love you both.

Southern Miss Homecoming 2010

I have been looking forward to this weekend for so long! My favorite people were all in town for an exciting and busy weekend. Girls night was a blast Thursday! Dinner at The Hog and of course Danielle and Watts couldn't come to the Burg without a stop at Mugshots. Friday, Jessica and Watts had a Phi Mu Alumni dinner at Walnut and I went to Bianchi's for dinner with Brittany Walker, watched a little George McConnell outside of Brownstones and then headed to Old Athens and Mugs. Saturday, I got an early surprise from my sweet, Chappell!! She surprised me and showed up at my house extra BRIGHT AND EARLY. Sakura for lunch (with some very interesting commentary from Chappell) and tailgating with all my friends made for a perfect weekend. Love you all!

Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Hyde

Well... Another wedding has come and gone. Catherine really surprised me! She was EXTREMELY calm and composed the entire weekend. I headed to P'cola Thursday around noon. Arrived by 4:30, showered and headed out to the Beach for Catherine and Jeff's Sound side Supper catered by my favorite fried fish restaurant at home. My mouth is watering NOW (words can't describe how yummy their cheese grits are). Exhausted and full at this point-I hadn't gone to sleep the entire week before until after midnight each night working on her rehearsal dinner video (which my mom and I didn't finish until an hour or so before the dinner Friday). Friday rolls around and I did some last minute shenanigans with CC and Jeff, got ready for dinner (tried everything on that I brought home bc Mom said everything I brought was to short...thanks) and finally opted for a yellow/gold dress (that reminds me of a Chinese womans attire) and headed out to the beach house again for the rehearsal dinner. Massive ANXIETY for showing this video..let me tell you!

Well I start setting up my computer, the projector and the screen and I turn on my computer and out comes this loud and obnoxious Grace Potter song that I can't for the life of me turn off. Face turns red and beads of sweat start pouring. So I work with it for another 15 minutes with the help of a few others, rebooted my computer and FINALLY! It works, correct songs and all. It ended up being a great night. Off to bed.
Saturday-the wedding day went off without a hitch! Hair did. Makeup did. Everything was beautiful!! Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Hyde. They are going to have the MOST BEAUTIFUL big eyed, blue eyed children I have EVA seen! Love you both.

Busy as a Bee!!

Another weekend went by...can I even tell you how bad I wanted to sleep in this morning?! Ugh! Well, Friday Brittany and Austin had their reception at the Line's house. It was so nice and we all had such a great time! Always fun getting together with friends for cocktails and food!! Brittany looked fab in her outfit! After the party, we went to Cork; the new Wine Bar out in Oak Grove. We will def be going back soon!

Saturday was Lacey and Will's couples shower out at Long Leaf Plantation. Thanks to The Hoods for letting us have the party out there. It was absolutely fabulous. I would LOVE to live out there! We all enjoyed the wonderful food and yummy wine.

My day Saturday afternoon was filled with running around town getting things done, working on the video (2 hrs) and getting ready for Lacey and Will's shower. Sunday was less than fun...spending a long and arduous 7 hrs on the video for next weekends wedding festivities. Now it is Monday...long day ahead of work, gym and back to video editing! Yay...

P'cola goes to the Big Apple!

Ferrill and I decided to plan a girls trip to NYC to visit Melissa who has moved there to pursue her sales/fashion career at Saks 5th Ave, as well as my two best friends from college, who have also moved to NYC; Amanda Chappell and Danielle Lanasa. Kim Speer took the train from DC and met us there on Friday. I was able to spend time with them all and we had a FABULOUS time to say the least! So great to catch up with old friends! We ran into Kristin Cavallari from The Hills and Matthew Settle, who plays Rufus Humphrey on Gossip Girl at the amazing Abe & Arthur's restaurant in the Meat Packing district. Lebron James was also at dinner... Here are some pics from our Big Apple adventure!

Plaza Hotel

Brunch at Poco

Drinks at Pipa

Brunch at Kitti Chai

Dinner at Buddakan

....CAN'T WAIT FOR OUR NEXT TRIP!!!!

Artwork

I have currently been looking for a few pieces of artwork for my new place. I need something to go over my couch and a piece for the dining room area. I have finally moved into the Condo at Bellegrass...moving is pure HELL, btw! I am going to miss my quiet townhouse at Le Papillon but now it's on to better things and new memories! Here are a few pieces I have been eyeing. I love Quenby Tilley. She is a local artist out of Pensacola. She features her work at my favorite restaurant in Pensacola; Global Grill. Just thinking of it makes my mouth water! Yum!

ABC Carpets

Wanted to share a fabulous place for home shopping that we visited in NYC. More posts to come from NYC trip soon! These are a few items that I adored...

Blue Angels 2010...Oil can't keep us away!

The oil sure didn't keep ANYONE away this year! The sabine was just as crowded as it usually is every year! I spent Friday, the pre-show, with Lindsey and Quint in front of Quietwater. "Buck Wild" was busy in the Gulf helping with oil clean up, so we took the smaller bay boat out for our adventure. It couldn't of been a better weekend. Thank you to Amelie and Kent for taking us out Saturday. Our usual captain, Quint had to work unfortunately. It was GREAT weather, with only a minor shower during the full show. Missed my besties; Ferrill and Rob and Kaitlin and Jay, but it was so great seeing everyone else!! Looking forward to next year!

Back at it.

Ok, I haven't blogged in almost two years. I am excited about getting back into "blog life". Bare with me as I attempt...
Getting excited about Brad and Jessica's big weekend! They are finally saying "I do"! I just wish the weather was going to be better...thunderstorms are in the forecast. :( Although, we will make the best of it for sure!! Ready for Austin, Blair and Tosha to be here! I have missed y'all! Can't wait!!
